CARING FOR YOUR NEW PIERCING
-
- DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PIERCING. The only time you will touch your piercing is when you are cleaning it, and you will first wash your hands.
- DO NOT REMOVE YOUR JEWELRY. New piercings can be closed the moment jewelry is removed, making it painful or impossible to get it back in.
- DO NOT CHANGE YOUR JEWELRY UNTIL IT IS FULLY HEALED.
- Clean your piercing in the Morning, Afternoon and Evening and anytime you get dirt, sweat, skin or hair products on it. Use a saline solution wound wash only.
- Avoid sleeping and putting pressure on your piercing.
- Avoid pools, hot tubs, lakes, rivers, etc. (A quick shower is fine.)
- It is normal for your fresh piercing to get red, swollen, itchy, sore, tender, and even bleed
Piercings may take anywhere from 2-9 months to heal depending on the piercing.
