What You Should Know Before Getting a Tattoo
Getting a tattoo is not something that should be taken lightly. Remember, this isn't a T-shirt with a pithy message than can be removed at the end of the day, tucked in a drawer, or tossed in the trash if the sentiment has been played out. It will be as much a permanent part of you as your limbs. In other words, while removal is possible— it's never desirable!

There are as many reasons to get a tattoo as there are designs. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but the reasons are numerous-and they go well beyond an impulse made on a crazy night out. While some people get tattoos for the shock value, others use the medium as a way to memorialize something or someone special to them. Some just like the way it looks and get tattooed as a way to beautify their bodies with permanent artwork. Others use tattoos to tell the stories of their life.
So Why Do You Want a Tattoo?
For many, tattoos can act as a "totem." Just as totem poles in Native American culture can represent or identify lineage, cultural beliefs, or notable events (among other things), so too can your tattoos. Let's face it, you're not going to be the same person at forty that you may have been at eighteen (when you decided to get your first tattoo), but if you've chosen well, your ink helps convey the story of your own personal evolution. You might be more accepting of your eighteen-year-old-self's choice if you see that tattoo as your totem or a representation of who you were back then.

I came to MeMu for my first tattoo and i had an amazing experience with my artist vlad, they helped me with figuring out my design. They guided step my step of the processes and were wonderful when i started to get nervous. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

What an amazing emotional roller-coaster of emotions from start to finish... with the entire cost of $639.36 paid for with abundance. I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Hands down the most friendly tat shop I've experienced. Came in as a walk in with no sketch. They patiently went over various ideas and crafted the perfect tat. The owner even provides snacks to ensure you don't feel faint. Milook was fabulous. Keep up the good work!

Got my lobes re-pierced today by the amazing Kaleb, and I’m so happy with the results! My piercings nice and even now, and the service was great. Thorough, clear, clean, quick, and Kaleb was very kind and easy to make conversation with. Overall had a great experience!

I had a great experience getting my piercing done here! The whole process was smooth, quick, and comfortable from start to finish.
@frankn.mods (his IG username) was amazing! He took the time to educate and inform me about everything I needed to know before and after getting my piercing. He made sure I felt comfortable, answered all my questions, and guided me through the entire process.
I was honestly nervous at first, but there was no pain at all. It was nowhere near as bad as I expected because he made the experience so easy and painless. I really appreciate the professionalism, care, and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

Just had an absolutely amazing experience getting a tattoo as well as piercing today! The shop was fantastic, and my artist was incredibly supportive and professional. I felt so comfortable throughout the whole process, and their talent truly shines through in their work.

I got my rook and conch pierced here, honestly it was such a fun and safe environment and practically didn’t hurt at all! I currently have no swelling or pain/burning, i was know of everything my piercer was doing, everything was explained! And the prices are great! I honestly had such a good experience and can’t wait to come back again!! 🙂 TYSM to my piercer and staff 🫶

Such an incredible experience with Kaleb the piercer at Memu.
He's so kind, very easy to talk to, and very good at what he does. He was very patient with me when I got lightheaded, got me some water, and never made me feel rushed. I had my nipples pierced once before (not by Kaleb), and it was not a great experience. Having them re-done by Kaleb was SO MUCH EASIER. It was faster, less painful, and a seamless experience. I wouldn't get pierced by anyone else ever. With the amount of experience he has in combination with his incredibly sweet personality, no one could ever compare.
If you need a piercing, He's THE person to see 💕
